MURFREESBORO, Tenn., June 1, 2015– One of the goals of terrorists is to destroy what America stands for. If you have to dispose of the Constitution to battle terrorists, then haven’t you conceded the battle? Haven’t the terrorists won? Of course they have.
U.S. Senators take this oath: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
While I don’t agree with Sen. Rand Paul on everything, if you aren’t going to stand for the Constitution and uphold your oath, what will you stand for?
Paul is 100% right to stand against President Obama’s NSA spy program. Last night, I stood with Rand as he took a bold stand in order to restore the 4th Amendment.
